What a result!! They have refunded half the cost of the apartments.

Dear Sir,

We have just returned from a weeks skiing, staying at the above apartments. What should have been a very enjoyable holiday was marred by the unfinished state of the apartments. We feel this is not acceptable considering the price we paid!

I list below some of the problems we highlighted to the apartment reception:

We booked covered parking as shown in your brochure, there is none!

The description in the brochure states that the 4/6 person apartment (403) has 2 bedrooms only one had a door and windows, the other had a curtain between it and the living area and no other ventilation.

Most of the light fittings were sockets dangling on exposed wiring see photos 2, 4 & 5, these a typical examples of 12 of the lights in the two apartments.

The shaver socket in the bathroom of 403 had tape over it, photo 1.

The door latches to the shelves storing the pots and pans did not work and kept swinging open (photo 3).

The lock to the toilet in 404 would not lock.

The shower in 404 had no curtain to stop the sink, toilet, towels etc getting covered in water. There was a mop and bucket provided but a curtain would have been better.

The front door was a disgrace! The inside floor finished before the door (photo 8). To get in you had to walk on wobbly wooden board propped up by breeze blocks (photo 6 & 7).

There was no lighting at night between the apartment blocks and the road.

The access to the road and the resort centre was down steps (photo 9) which had no had rail and at the beginning of the week were covered in snow and ice making them very dangerous. The staff did not remove the snow to make it safer.

The spiral stair well ( photo 10 ) had makeshift guard rails at the top no lighting and no hand rail and was full of frozen snow at the start of the week.

I could go on about the state of the pool, sauna and the drain in the ski locker room but I feel I have made my point .

It is great shame that we found the facilities lacking, if it had been finished properly we would have had no complaints. It was obvious the builders had done a rushed job to complete for the start of the season and failed spectacularly.

I look forward to hearing from you and expect to receive some compensation.
