Three Explorers, David (Network actually) Rowan & Josh along with Keith went to the Kandersteg area for 12 days. Sam (AESL) should also have been coming but it is a long story why he didn't make it.

We drove there in Keith's new motor and spent the first two night camped in the Scout centre.

Our first objective was to climb the Allmenalp Via Farrata.

The following day we went up into the mountains and stayed in mountain huts for the next 7 nights.

We climbed at Winteregg at the top of the Sunbnbuel lift all day then made the short walk to the Schwarenbach Hotel.

We then moving to the Lammeren hut for 4 night, we first climbed the Steghorn. The following day we fine tuned our snow ice and glacier skills.

We climbed the Wildstrubel & Mittler Gripfel the next day both are 3243m.

We then returned to Schwarenbach via the Roter Totx

On our final full day in the mountains we climbed the Rinderhorn before returning to the Scout centre and home.

The weather was amazing for most of the time, just the odd bit of mist, cloud and rain, it did not stop us achieving any of our objectives. We timed our departure to perfection as it turned nasty as we left for home.
