Day 3 & 4 Tour to Pte de Vouasson (3489m)
With overnight at Cab de Aig Rouges.

After taking the lift system to the top we descended to 2600m then contoured round and up to the hut. We had the hut to our selves only one other staying there. Breakfast at 0600, reached Pte de Vouasson at 0945. Then it was down all the way, snow conditions became very unpleasant below 2400m (soft sloppy stuff!!) reached road at 1230 having walked last bit.

7k to hut, 3k to top. Down 7k. Climb 650m Decent 1680m.

Day 5 & 6 Tour to Pigne d'Arolla (3790m)
With overnight at the Dix hut.

Took first lift to 2500m then up to Pas de Cheores where we had to descend a ladder before crossing the Cheilon Glacier to the Dix hut. The hut was full to capacity a great change from the last one. It is on the Haute Route! Great jostling for position in the morning after breakfast at 0545, we made good progress and got to the top ahead of main crowd at 1030. The decent was not as much fun as day 4, it was ice to the spectacular Vignettes Hut and soup from 2800m, there was only about 1K of decent snow.

4k to hut, 5k top. Down 6k. Climb 1250m, Decent 1800m.
