There were no apologies
The leaders climbing club is still meeting at Awesome Walls and there has been some good attendance nights.
It was agreed to continue over the summer and hold it twice a month. The 1st Thursday and the 3rd Tuesday
7th May & 19th May @ Windgather
4th June & 16 June @ Hobson moor
2nd July & 14th July @ TBA
6 leaders and 3 instructors attended. It was a great success and there were calls for a consolidation w/e next year in addition to the basic skills session. It was agreed that we would work towards this for next winter.
There are now a good number of instructors trained up and county has 6 assessors trained who are providing the training and assessment.
Workshops
Keith reported that the hill walking workshop was effectively full and there were 8 booked on the climbing and 4 on the steep ground. All available instructional help will be needed on the hill walking and probably the climbing workshops.
Mark reported that he would run them on an on demand basis but this was dependant on Sale water park resolving the algae problem that is presently causing the centre to be closed. Mark will advise if and when sessions can start.
Animania Skills instructors are needed to help with this county event.
Ashworth Valley now has a high ropes facility.
High ropes facility in Trafford park, Caroline told the
meeting of a new facility in Trafford park. More info can be found at http://www.challenge4change.org
